A woman and her two daughters were found dead in mysterious circumstances in their home in Rajasthan's Churu district, police said today.

Pramod Kanwar (40) and her daughters, Nitesh Kanwar (20), Naveen Kanwar (18), who died yesterday, may have decided to end their lives as Pramod's husband and the girls' father is a patient and the family found itself in acute financial distress, a police official said.

Though police is looking at the suicide angle, family members say the trio may have died after mistakenly consuming water from a container, SHO Bhaleri Shyam Singh Shekhawat told PTI.

The bodies have been handed over to family members after the post mortem examination today.
