With over 50 million minutes per day, India has become the top country for via -- a feature that was launched from India in November last year and rolled out globally to other countries.

According to the data provided by the Facebook-owned popular mobile on Monday, a total of over 340 million minutes are being recorded per day globally and users are making over 55 million per day.

In November last year, announced the rollout of the feature, enabling more than 1.2 billion monthly active users globally to make across Android, iPhone and Windows devices.

The global launch event was attended by Neeraj Arora, Head of Business, and Manpreet Singh, Product Lead, WhatsApp, in New Delhi.
