Defending champions Hockey Gangpur Odisha will take on Sports Authority of India (SAI) in the opening game of the 7th Hockey Indian Sub-junior National Championship (Division A) at the hockey stadium on Wednesday.

A total of 20 teams are divided into four groups with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the knock-outs.

Groups: Pool A: Gangpur Odisha, SAI, Odisha, AP, Dadra & Nagar Haveli; Pool B: Manipur, Haryana, UP, TN, Bihar; Pool C: Chandigarh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Patiala, Bhopal; Pool D: Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Delhi, Chhattisgarh.
