A Special Police officer, who was injured in a firing incident in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, succumbed to injuries at a hospital today.
Another SPO injured in the firing is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
"SPO Mohammad Younis has succumbed to injuries in theGMC Hospital here," a police official at GMC Police Post said.
The firing incident took place in the mountainous Tanta area of the district yesterday.
While the army had ruled out a militant attack, the police were investigating whether the firing was a result of a rivalry or an external attack.
