'Vishwanath will decide in 2 days on joining JD(S)'

JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy on Monday said that senior Congress leader A H Vishwanath will take an appropriate decision on joining the JD(S) in two days.

“I met him (Vishwanath) recently and held talks. He is a seasoned politician and knows when to take important political decisions,” he told reporters who sought to know whether Vishwanath has dropped his plan to join the JD(S). He, however, denied reports in a section of the media that the Congress leaders Malikayya Guttedar, C M Ibrahim and Satish Jarkiholi are planning to join the JD(S).

The JD(S) leader also said the election committee of the party has appointed two observers for each of the 30 districts in the state. The observers will hold meetings with local party leaders and in turn appoint party office-bearers at district, taluk and gram panchayat levels by the end of this month, he added.
