Bodies of two teenagers who drowned in River Tlwang, have been recovered near here, police said today.
C. Lalremkima (16) of Tuikual locality in Aizawl was accidentally drowned in the swollen river yesterday and his friend F. Lalchhamdama (18) also from the same locality, was drowned while trying to rescue the former, police said.
Volunteers launched a search and recovered their bodies last night from 200 metres downstream.
The funeral rites of the teenagers were performed today, police said.
