Cloudy weather and gentle wind since late afternoon caused the mercury to drop in Patna and other parts of Bihar today.
Patna registered a maximum of 36 degree celsius against yesterday's 37.4 degrees, a met office bulletin said.
The maximum temperature dipped in the temple town of Gaya too which registered 39.4 degree celsius against 43.1 degrees yesterday.
The maximum temperature at Bhagalpur was 37 degree celsius and that of Purnea 34.5 degree celsius, it said.
The weather office forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershower tomorrow.
