Chief Minister Pema Khandu has sanctioned creation of a Class C Police Station at Thrizino in West Kameng district.

A total number of 49 posts have been created to man the Thrizino police station which includes three sub-inspectors, three assistant sub-inspectors, eleven head constables, three head constables (traffic), twenty-eight constables and one constable driver, an official release informed here today.

The PHE & WS Parliamentary Secretary Kumsi Sidisow, who represents Thrizino-Buragaon Assembly constituency expressed sincere gratitude to the state for gifting the area with a police station.

The people of Thrizino had submitted a memorandum to the state in 2009 demanding a police station.

The point was raised again in August last year when Khandu had visited Bhalukpong during his journey to West Kameng and Tawang.

Sidisow said that it was a long pending demand which was rigorously taken up with the successive governments but could only be materialised during the present incumbent's tenure.

While thanking Khandu and Home Minister Kumar Waii for the police station, Sidisow said that the people of the constituency would be ever indebted for the kind gesture, the release said.
