Jet Airways offers flat 24% discount on international, select domestic routes

On its 24th anniversary celebrations, Jet Airways is offering flyers on economy and premiere class a flat 24% discount on the base fare in a one-day offer on Friday

Mumbai: Jet Airways India (Pvt) Ltd on Thursday said flyers on its economy and premiere class will get a flat discount of 24% on the base fare in a one-day offer on Friday.

The offer, part of the airline’s 24th anniversary celebrations, is applicable on all destinations on its international network. For those travelling on domestic routes, an identical offer is applicable to everyone travelling economy on select sectors from the airline’s network of 45 domestic destinations.

The special fares will be valid only for individual bookings for travel on direct flights on Jet Airways’ domestic and international network. Available on a first come-first serve basis, bookings for travel can be made across all channels.

This is the second offer in less than a month by the Mumbai-based airline. Last month it announced special ‘summer break’ all-inclusive fares starting as low as Rs1,294 on one-way routes for economy class travel. Under the offer, tickets had to be purchased 20 days before departure. Valid only on domestic routes, it also came with a chance to get ‘premiere’ class upgrade. “

Air traffic on domestic routes grew 21.8% in fiscal 2016-17. Ratings firm Icra Ltd expects slower growth of 13-15% in the current fiscal year because of capacity addition and increasing competition.
