Senior IAS officer and Public Works Department Principal Secretary M Lakshminarayana has been appointed as special officer in-charge of organising the Vishwa Kannada Sammelana scheduled to be held in Davangere in July this year.

It will be the third Vishwa Kannada Sammelana to be held with the first two being held in Mysuru in 1985 and in Belagavi in 2011.
