Two persons were today killed and as many injured when a trailer hit two motorbikes from behind, police said.
The incident happened near Kholishpota bus stop on Belghoria Expressway early in the morning, a police officer said.
A police constable, Subrata Mondal (28) and a civic volunteer, Nayeem Ali (22) were killed in the incident.
The two injured persons were admitted to a hospital, the police officer said.
The police seized the trailer but the driver and helper of the vehicle fled the scene, he said.
