Doner minister Jitendra Singh today inaugurated an e-office to be used by North Eastern Council (NEC) secretariat via video conferencing from his office in Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
The e-office is a digital workplace solution of Mission Mode under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), developed and implemented by National Informatics Centre.
It is a single product for reuse in the government, based on Central Secretariat Manual of e-Office Procedure (CSMeOP) and ensures transparency, accountability, data security and data integrity, a NEC release said.
It transforms the government work culture and ethics, and promotes innovation.
At present, e-office application is operational in NEC secretariat in file management system, knowledge management system and leave management system, it added.
