Two women charged with assaulting police at Sydney bar

Two women have been charged with assaulting police after being asked to leave a bar in Sydney's west.

Police say officers intervened when the women, aged 22 and 27, were involved in an argument with a staff member at the bar at Warwick Farm on Saturday night.

A struggle ensued after the women were asked to leave, resulting in a senior constable suffering an arm injury and a constable being assaulted but not requiring treatment.

Both women have been charged with assaulting police and are to appear at Liverpool Local Court on June 7.
