He stressed on use of IT to make technologically advanced and adapt the latest technology for upliftment of the society.

The Minister sought cooperation from all for time bound implementation of literacy agenda of the state

Speaking on the occasion, Director of IIIT-Guwahati Prof Gautam Baruah suggested that the prepare plans in such a way that it can be implemented by adapting new and latest technology.

Prof Baruah was also for developing of data content in local languages for benefit of the rural population.

Additional Chief Secretary in-charge Finance V B Pyarelal and Additional Chief Secretary in-charge Alok Kumar also spoke on the occasion.

In the day long technical session, representatives from various and non-organisations such as NABARD, Yes Bank, Vodafone, SAHAJ e-village, NIC, NESAC and Akruti discussed on the process of bringing skills to villages.
