Sashastra Seema Bal personnel today seized an ashta-dhatu idol from a place along Indo-Nepal border and arrested one person.
SSB officials said the idol, possibly of 'bala gopal', was 54 cm in height.
Acting on tip off, SSB personnel seized the idol from a person at Siliguri-Kisanganj road when he was on his way to smuggle it to Nepal, the officials said.
