Senior AAP leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, on Wednesday went to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence as early counting trends showed the ruling party far behind in the civic polls.
In East Delhi too, BJP is way ahead AAP and Congress.
The BJP has taken a clear lead in all the three municipal corporations with the Congress and AAP neck and neck for the second spot.
The stakes for AAP are the highest in this election as it has barely recovered from its Punjab and Goa defeats.
BJP is leading in 160 wards, the Congress in 45 and the AAP in 16 wards in the Delhi civic polls, according to early counting trends.

As per the latest trends in 104 seats, BJP is close to win 83 seats.
Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi chief Manoj Tiwari on Wednesday said he was sure his party would win the civic polls and said the BJP would make Delhi a "clean city" and free it from all sorts of diseases after the party "wins" the municipal elections.
The Congress, which finished second in the Rajouri Garden bypoll, is hoping for a resurgence and banked on its big guns during campaigns to shore up its fortune, despite infighting. It has fielded 271 candidates.
Polling was held in 270 of the 272 wards of the three municipal corporations. The election to two wards has been postponed due to the death of candidates.
The three main players -- the AAP, the BJP and the Congress -- had campaigned intensely ahead of the polls and all of them are expecting a favourable mandate, even as an exit poll has predicted a "landslide victory" for the saffron party.
The counting of votes for the 270 seats of Delhi municipal has begun just a while ago with early trends showing a huge win for the Bharatiya Janata Party.
