Light to moderate showers were witnessed at some places in Rajasthan where Churu was the hottest place today recording a maximum of 40.6 degrees Celsius.
Among the places which received rainfall were Rawatsar (Hanumangarh), and Pilani.
Except Churu, day temperature at other stations was below 40 degrees, according to Met department.
A forecast said that thunderstorm and hailstorm are likely to occur at isolated areas in the state during the next 24 hours.
