Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Refined soya prices moved down by 1.06 per cent to Rs 614.40 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their exposure amid subdued demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in June month fell by Rs 6.60, or 1.06 per cent, to Rs 614.40 per 10 kg with an open interest of 47,150 lots.

Similarly, the for delivery in May contracts was trading lower by Rs 5.60, or 0.90 per cent to Rs 616.40 per 10 kg in 49,100 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders due to low demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions, mainly led to the fall in refined soya prices at futures trade.
