Raipur: A day after 25 CRPF jawans were killed in the worst Naxal attack in recent years in Sukma, Chhattisgarh, alert has been sounded in neighbouring Jharkhand.

If sources are to be believed, an operation is underway in the Bura Pahar area along the Chhattisgarh border.

The entire area has been sealed. In another development, the Ministry of Home Affairs has sought a report from the Central Reserve Police Force on what went wrong in Sukma.

According to sources, the MHA wants the report to be submitted as soon as possible and is believed to have said the casualty of 25 jawans is unacceptable.

The MHA, said sources, feels the Sukma attack points to a leadership failure and a need for operations in Maoist-infested regions to be overhauled.

DG, CRPF Sudeep Lakhtakia, however, denied tactical and intelligence failure on part of the security forces.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh along with Minister of State (Home) Hansraj Ahir today reached Chhattisgarh to take stock of the situation.

Rajnath Singh called the Sukma Naxal attack "a cold-blooded murder" and said the government will review its anti-Naxal strategy.
