ONGC gas production up 20.06 per cent, OIL production down 1.05 per cent

India's monthly crude oil production for March 2017 was up 0.94 per cent compared to March 2016. The highest growth was in production from public sector undertaking, Oil India whose crude oil production was up 9.06 per cent, ONGC showed a 3.32 per cent growth in production for March 2017, compared to March 2016.

The average production of the country's crude oil production was brought down by private and joint ventures which was 6.23 per cent lower than March, 2016.

The country's total natural gas production during March, 2017 was 8.29 per cent higher when compared with March, 2016. This was driven by ONGC whose 1972.33 MMSCM was 20.06 per cent. Gas production by private and joint ventures stood at 526.93 MMSCM for March 2017, which was 18.08 per cent lower than production in March 2016.

OIL gas production during March, 2017 stood at 251.02 MMSCM which is 1.05 per cent lower than March, 2016.
