Two persons from were today killed after being run over by an express train at the Raver railway station, railway police said.

The deceased were identified as Vijay Patel (25) and Priyanka Vaskale (20), both residents of Nepanagar town in Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh, a senior official said.



The duo were travelling from Nepanagar to Shegaon in Maharashtra. When the train halted at the station, Priyanka got down to fill up water in a bottle, he said.

However, while boarding the train, Priyanka fell down. Vijay while trying to catch her also fell down and the two came under the wheels of the train, the officer said, adding a probe was on.
