Sidhu earlier in the day went to village Othian in Rajasansi assembly constituency to express sympathy with the farmers whose 300 acres of standing wheat crop was burnt to ashes from a spark from overhead running high tension electric wires.

Sidhu , during his tenure as Member of Parliament, had also been generously doling out money for various philanthropist act as well as for giving green cover to the city from his personal resources.
