Kerala's Congress-led opposition on Friday said it will highlight the "miserable performance" of the in the coastal state during the last one year by holding meetings across the state.

The decision was taken at a United Democratic Front (UDF) meeting here, its Convenor P.P. Thankachen told the media.

"During the May 2016 assembly elections, their much-hyped contention was that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) will come to power and set everything right. A year later, the has been an abject failure and hence we will organise meetings in all the 140 assembly seats to highlight this," said Thankachen.

The will hold political meetings on May 25 -- the day the LDF was sworn in last year. On May 30, personalities from Kerala's socio-cultural domain will also participate in the meetings.

Contending that the ruling front was beset with serious difference between the Communist Party of India-Marxist and its ally CPI, the leader said the was an "abject and dismal failure on all fronts".
