India and the European Union (EU) on Friday agreed to step up counter-terrorism cooperation and discussed ways to end the impasse over the proposed trade agreement.
Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
She also had a meeting with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and discussed preparation for the 14th India-EU summit scheduled to be held in New Delhi in October.
Modi and Mogherini agreed to strengthen security cooperation between India and the EU, particularly on the issue of counter-terrorism.
