In January 2017,had announced the recruitment drive to appoint 88 specialist officers (SOs) in various disciplines, in JMGS-I and MMGS-II. The official notification had announced that the last date to apply for all posts including scheduled tribe category (in MMGS-II and MMGS-III) was April 2017. While there is no official announcement about the date of the entrance examination, media reports claim that the test will be held in May-June 2017.
 
While there has been no official announcement about the syllabus, media reports have published syllabus, and question papers.
 
Selection procedure

For all the posts, except for the Manager Security, selection will be by way of shortlisting – including test, group discussion and interview – based on the applications received for individual posts. For the post of Manager Security, the selection is by way of group discussion and/or interview.
 
Depending on the number of vacancies, candidates who rank sufficiently high in the order of merit in the test as per the cut-off marks decided by the bank and number of candidates required for group discussion and /or Interview in certain ratio decided by the bank.
 
For selection through on-line test, for examination, test centres and other details are:

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the objective tests. For each question with a wrong answer, one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty. If for any question a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as wrong, even if one of the given answers happens to be right, and there will be the same penalty. If a question is left blank, there will be no penalty for that question.
 
2017

Question will be asked broadly based on logical reasoning, english language, quantitative aptitude, numerical ability, general knowledge and computer knowledge. The topics covered in details will include:

Logical reasoning: Number series, arithmetical reasoning, coding-decoding, blood relations, non-verbal series, decision making, number ranking, mirror images, alphabet series, clocks and calendars, directions, cubes and dice, analogy embedded figures etc

English language: Fill in the blanks, verb comprehension, subject-verb agreement, grammar, tenses, vocabulary, error correction, synonyms, adverb, unseen passages, articles, idioms & phrases, sentence rearrangement, antonyms etc

Quantitative aptitude: Number system, time and work, percentages, ratio and proportions, decimal & fractions, time and distance, average, HCF & LCM, simplification, mixtures & allegations, problems on ages, simple & compound interest, profit and loss, data interpretation etc.

Numerical ability: Average, discounts, simple interest, time, work, distance, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, problems on ages, boats and streams, percentages, compound interest, number systems, data interpretation, simplification, fundamental arithmetical operations etc

H.C.F. and L.C.M

General knowledge: Countries & capitals, general politics, science – inventions & discoveries, current events, India and its neighboring countries, scientific research, Indian constitution, abbreviations, sports, economic scene, important days, current affairs – national & international

Computer Knowledge: Knowledge in operations of computer, MS Windows, MS Word & MS Excel etc.
 
Group discussion and interview

For the posts eligible, applicants who qualified in written will be call for group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI). The total marks allotted for GD and for PI are 100 each.

Each step, candidate is required to secure minimum marks as decided by the bank at each level of selection process. Only candidates who will secure minimum marks as decided by the bank will be considered for preparation of final rank lists.
 
The lists shall be prepared on the basis shortlisting test, group discussion and interview. The weightage of the selection is as follows:

For posts with test, GD and PI, the weightage is Test 50%, Group Discussion 20%, and interview 30%.
For post with GD and PI only Group Discussion 40%, and interview 60%.
