A post doctoral scholar working in the French Institute of Puducherry has bagged the Presidential award for classical Tamil for 2015-2016.
A release from the French Institute here said President Pranab Mukherjee will present the award to Dr V Prakash at an exclusive investiture ceremony at Rashtrapathi Bhavan on May 9.
Prakash is doing research on contemporary Tamil culture in the institute, the release said.
