BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav on Friday called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra and discussed the situation in the Valley, official sources said.
This followed a meeting of BJP-PDP leaders on the subject amid differences between the two allies on how to tackle widespread street protests in the troubled valley.
Madhav, the BJP point man on Jammu and Kashmir affairs, earlier met Peoples Democratic Party leaders including Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu.
The Kashmir Valley has been on the boil since the Srinagar-Budgam Lok Sabha by-election of April 9 when security forces shot dead eight protesters.
A re-poll on April 13 also saw violence including the killing of a youth in Srinagar.
BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna and state BJP chief Sat Sharma were present at the BJP-PDP meeting.
