Churu, the gateway to the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, remained the hottest place in the state which continued to reel under sizzling weather conditions.
Most of the places across Rajasthan recorded a maximum temperature above 42 degree Celsius, even as the mercury touched a high of 46.4 degrees Celsius in Churu.
Sriganganagar recorded 46 degrees Celsius, followed by Bikaner (45.6), Jaisalmer (44.5), Pilani and Barmer (both 43.6), Kota (43.3), Jodhpur (43.2), Ajmer (42.7) and Dabok (41.9), weather officials said.
The MeT department has predicted dry weather in the state with heatwave conditions at isolated places in the next 24 hours.
