This is Abhinav Kaul and I will take you through the motions of Tuesday’s session on Dalal Street and bring you cues and trading tips from market veterans for tomorrow.

The domestic equity market closed in the red for the fourth straight session on Tuesday after benchmark indices gave up all of the morning gains due to profit booking at higher levels and disappointing monsoon forecast by the IMD.

The sentiment also turned weak ahead of TCS Q4 earnings and selling by the FIIs.

Weak opening of European market further dampened sentiment.

BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty slipped over 0.30 per cent on Tuesday.

Shares of Tata Motors DVR dropped nearly 2 per cent after data showed that ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala sold 50 lakh shares in the Tata group stock during the March quarter.

Adani Enterprises hit fresh 52-week high of Rs 160.60 and closed 17.71 per cent up at Rs 144.90.

After rallying over 40 per cent on Monday, Indiabulls Real Estate witnessed profit booking at higher levels and plunged over 9 per cent on Tuesday.

On the option front, maximum Put OI is at 9,000 followed by 9100 strike while maximum Call OI is at 9300 and 9200 strike.

On the technical charts, Nifty50 formed an Inverted Hammer kind of formation as the intra day rally was sold off by the market participants from the highs of 9218 levels.
