The BSE-CMIE-UMich consumer sentiments indices retreated a bit during the week ended April 16 but, they continued to maintain most of the gains made in the preceding few weeks. The Index of Consumer Sentiments declined by 2.35 per cent during the week of April 16 after having gained 18 per cent during the preceding five weeks.
