The campaigning for elections to the 272 wards of three municipal corporations will end on April 21 evening but the schedules for the two leaders are yet to be finalised.



The two "youth icons", as many party candidates believe them to be, are in "heavy demand", especially among young candidates to canvass support for them in their wards, said a senior leader.

The two are among the list of star campaigners but their schedules have not been finalised, party spokesman Navin Kumar said.

The candidates have been asking for Yogi and Fadnavis to visit their wards and attract young voters as the campaign picks up for the April 23 polls, party leaders say.

Most of the star campaigners are likely to come to the national capital beginning from April 19 and Yogi and Fadnavis are also expected to participate in it, they said.

"We are trying to arrange visits of all the star campaigners including CMs Adityanath and Fadnavis. So far, approval from Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and president Amit Shah has been received," Kumar said.
