A five-member Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) on Monday visited for an on-the-spot assessment of the situation in the wake of floods and landslides in the state during 2016, a official statement said.

The central team along with the State Disaster Management Association officials also briefed Chief Minister Shurhozelie Liezietsu on how the natural calamities caused the damages in the state

During the meeting, Liezietsu said is a resource crunch state totally dependent on the Centre, and disasters are an unexpected chapter which draw considerable amount from the state exchequer.
