Dipa, Sakshi feature in Forbes Asia 'Under-30' achievers list

Indian trailblazing gymnast and wrestler are among the list of 53 Indians featuring in the Forbes' list of super achievers from who are under the age of 30 and "pushing boundaries of innovation".

In its second year, the Forbes '30 Under 30' list 2017 includes 300 impressive young entrepreneurs.

The list consists of 30 entrepreneurs from 10 categories, including entertainment, and venture capital, retail, social entrepreneurs and enterprise technology.

has a total of 53 achievers on the list, thus making the country only second to which has 76 honourees.

Last week, Karmakar and Sakshi received the coveted Padma Shri Award from President in the capital.

Karmakar, hailing from Agartala, missed the bronze medal by 0.150 points as American gymnast Simone Biles won her third gold medal at the last year.

The 23-year-old had created history when she became the first Indian gymnast to enter the final on her debut at the quadrennial multi-discipline games after finishing eighth in the qualifying round.

She had initially come to spotlight after winning a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, thus becoming the first Indian female gymnast to achieve the feat.

Sakshi, on the other hand, won the bronze medal in the 58 kg category at the 2016

With the win, Malik became the first woman wrestler in to win an Olympic medal and fourth Indian woman athlete to clinch the coveted medal after Karnam Malleshwari, Mary Kom and Saina Nehwal.
