Around 242 kg of pod husk (Doda Chura) worth about Rs 10 lakh was seized from a vehicle in Chhoti Sadri area of Rajasthan's Pratapgarh district, police said today.

The pod husk was seized from an SUV after it was abandoned by its occupants following a chase by the police, SHO Chhoti Sadri Pradeep Bittu told PTI.



He said the vehicle upon approaching a police check-post, set up to keep an eye on smugglers, made a U-turn and sped away.

The occupants left the vehicle in a farm near Rajpura crossing and fled away, Bittu said.

During search of the vehicle, around 242 kg of pod husk was seized, he said.

A case under the Act has been registered against unidentified persons, police said.
