Kumar Vishwas Twitter Video: Media is blowing up the issue, says Arvind Kejriwal

NEW DELHI: In a bid to quell reports of differences between AAP and its spokesperson Kumar Vishwas, AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal has denied the reports of any rift.

In an interview clip he retweeted, Kejriwal said, “I’m not angry with him, he's a family member".

To clarify that there is no rift in the party and its senior leader, Kejriwal targeted media saying they blow up issue.

"He isn't just a party member; he's actually a family member. The media likes to blow up such issues, next you'll be saying my wife is targeting me," Kejriwal joked.

Recently, Kumar Vishwas had posted a 13-minute "address to countrymen”, in which he spoke on a range of issues - from Kashmir to Pakistan - and appeared to criticize Delhi's AAP government for "trying to protect its own when they come under the corruption scanner".

The video was retweeted by Arvind Kejriwal, describing it as "shaandaar" ("fabulous") and one that "shakes you".

In the interview clip, Kejriwal said he wanted Vishvas to spread the "address to countrymen" video so that more people around the country watch it and learn about the state of the country.

In his address, Vishvas reflected on where the nation is today.

"We clearly don't appear to be worried as we are too busy pleasing our political bosses. We are only chanting `Modi, Modi...Arvind, Arvind...Rahul, Rahul...faces keep coming before us...India is Indira, Indira is India....Modi raj aa gaya, Yogi raj aa gaya...A K raj aa gaya...we don't seem to realise that all this is short-lived," he said in the video.

Vishvas asserted that "these governments are not permanent, they come and go....these palaces, PM house, CM house are temporary...so I ask of you all to come out of your nests...and act."
