Bengal sends project proposals with many faults: Uma Bharti

KOLKATA: Project proposals are full of faults and implementation issues. The centre cannot release funds for faulty project proposals, said Uma Bharti, minister for water resources, river development and Ganga rejuvenation on West Bengal not getting central grants for several projects. The union minister was in Howrah to attend a party programme today.

“The project proposals sent by the West Bengal government are full of faults. They cannot make one correct project proposal. So, how can we release fund for such projects? It appears that the officials do not have proper guidance,” said the union minister.

Reacting to the Ram Navami rallies in Bengal, she said, “It has been our tradition. Had there been a proper police arrangement, there would have been no law and order issue. But Mamata Banerjee only promotes the politics of hatred. We do not do that.”
