The dead body of Sharmalal (40), a resident of Devipur village, was recovered today near the Kathina river, said forest officials.



The farmer had gone towards the forest last night to look for his buffalo which had gone missing.

Forest officials said that prima facie it appeared that the victim was attacked by a big cat.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem.
