Around 94 students of the Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) could not take their post graduation exam in Hindi today as the question papers were not available.
Taking a strong note of the matter, the Vice Chancellor of TMBU Nalini Kant Jha has served show cause notices to in-charge of PG Hindi and section officer of examination control department.
The two have been asked to reply to the notices by tomorrow after which suitable action would be initiated, the VC told PTI.
All 94 students turned up for last paper of the second semester post-graduation Hindi exam but could not write exam as question paper had come from printing press.
The VC said that the paper in Hindi has now been fixed for April 22.
The exam schedule for second semester post-graduation was announced in the second week of March. While exams of three papers had been held, it was the final paper which was held up today as question papers could not be printed.
When the Registrar of the university queried from Controller of Exam about the goof up, he said the question paper of Hindi had not reached him from printing press. The goof up left the University authorities embarrassed.
