Atlanta/Chicago: The passenger dragged off a United Airlines flight suffered a concussion, a broken nose and two lost teeth, his lawyer said Thursday.

Thomas Demetrio, who represents the man, said he is investigating possible legal claims against the airline and will ’probably’ file a lawsuit. No lawsuit has been filed yet.

“For a long time, airlines, United in particular, have bullied us,” Demetrio said in a press conference in Chicago.

He suffered a concussion and a broken nose, and lost two teeth, Demetrio said. Dao also suffered injury to his sinuses and will need reconstructive surgery. He was discharged from the hospital Wednesday night.

“Rudeness, bullying of customers, has gone the next step now, to physical injury,” Demetrio said. “I hope he becomes a poster child for all of us.”

Demetrio said United broke the law, violating its duty of care.

Dao’s daughter said she and the whole family were “shocked and sickened to learn what had happened to him.”

Dao, a doctor, has five children, Demetrio said. Dao immigrated to the US from Vietnam, his daughter said. Bloomberg
