Gujarat is witnessing a heatwave, with mercury nearing 46 degree Celsius in parts of the state on Thursday.
The Bhuj town in Kutch district was the hottest, with temperature reaching 45.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Idar in Sabarkantha district and Surendranagar town in Saurashtra region, where the temperatures recorded were above 45 degrees.
