Airtel moves TDSAT on Jio delaying withdrawal of 'Summer Surprise Offer'

Also objects to continuation of benefits for those who already subscribed to offer before withdrawal

has filed an application in the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) objecting to the alleged delays by while withdrawing its 3-month complimentary offer as was directed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai).

Jio, on April 11, unveiled a new plan of 1GB 4G data daily for 3 months at Rs 309 for its Prime members, but had dubbed it as being a case of "old wine in a new bottle".

The same day, said it has "fully withdrawn" the following the advice of the telecom regulator.
