LIC Housing Finance
LIC Housing Finance rose to a new all-time high today, surging to Rs 635.30 on BSE. On the National Stock Exchange, the stock touched a new high of Rs 735.25. From around Rs 431 in late May 2016, the journey has been quite impressive for LIC Housing Finance.
The housing finance company posted a net profit of Rs 499.26 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 418.90 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2015. Total income increased from Rs 3156.70 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 to Rs 3548.72 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016.
Piramal Enterprises
Piramal Enterprises rallied to Rs 2179.95 around mid morning today, hitting a life-time high. The Piramal Enterprises counter on BSE has clocked a volume of around 32,000 shares, substantially higher than an average daily volume of 20,000 shares.
The stock, which was languishing around Rs 1047 in early April 2016, has more than doubled in the last one year.
