'Make Kannada must till Class X'

President of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Manu Baligar has written to the government asking it to make Kannada a compulsory language up to Class X.

In a letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait and Chief Secretary Subash Chandra Kuntia, he urged the government to follow Kerala in making the state's official language compulsory up to Class X for all students studying in Karnataka.
