A delegation of the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday called on Governor N.N. Vohra and sought dismissal of the PDP-BJP coalition government in the state.
Pradesh Congress President Ghulam Ahmed Mir led the delegation in Jammu seeking imposition of governor's rule in the state.
The delegation presented a momorandum to Vohra asking him to exercise his constitutional powers to dismiss the state government.
Speaking to IANS, Mir said: "We told the Governor that the administrative breakdown in the state has been proved beyond any doubt by the failure of the government..."
The senior Congress said that the Mehbooba Mufti-led government has lost the constitutional and moral right to continue in office.
