A mob ransacked the government rural hospital at Trimbakeshwar near here last evening to protest the death of an eight-year-old boy.
Avinash Kachare, the boy, was dashed by a car near village Khambale on Nashik-Trimbakeshwar road yesterday evening, police said.
He was taken first to a private hospital and later to the government rural hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Following which, an angry mob ransacked the hospital.
Police have tightened the security at the hospital. Nobody among the mob has been arrested yet.
