Stayzilla CEO gets bail

The Madras High Court on Tuesday granted bail to Yogendra Vasupal, chief executive officer of online facilitator Stayzilla, in connection with a cheating case.

When the petition came up for hearing, Justice S Baskaran issued bail on the condition that he deposit Rs 40 lakh before the magistrate court.

Yasupal was arrested recently on the charges of payment default to the tune of about Rs 1.69 crore.

Earlier, the court rejected Vasupal’s bail petition and granted custody to authorities of the central crime bureau.
