Advertising Club Mumbai launches new award Marquees

GOA: The Advertising Club Mumbai on Friday announced the launch of an annual marketing award called 'Marquees', which would celebrate game-changer brand stories while addressing the needs of marketeers who form a large constituency of the Ad Club.

Speaking at its annual ad festival, GoaFest, Raj Nayak, president of the Ad Club Mumbai said that brands operated in a dynamic and evolving environment with many unpredictable challenges. “The Marquees will play the role of acknowledging and cheering brands and marketing initiatives that have been game changers," he said.

Partho Dasgupta, CEO of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) and chairman of the Marquee Awards stated the awards will recognise all the elements of marketing with communication being just one of them.

Apart from regular category awards from sectors such as FMCG, auto, telecom, and ecommerce, the awards will have a special category which will recognise brands that have made a name for themselves differently. The inaugural edition of the Marquees will be held in August 2017.
