Hyderabad, April 7:
Smartron, a digital products company, is expanding its operations by investing Rs 1,500 crore in the next two years.
"We have just closed funding of Rs 250 crore in March 2017. We are going to raise Rs 600 crore in this financial year, " Mahesh Lingareddy, founder and Chairman of Smartron, said.
The firm has closed the financial year with revenue of Rs 50 crore.
"We are going to set up a facility in Hyderabad to manufacture smartphones, IoT devices and electric vehicles, " he said.
The firm is also planning to set up a 20-acre datacentre to support the IoT product ecosystem.
