Wheat prices drifted further lower by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on ample stocks position against reduced offtake by flour mills.
However, other grains traded in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled at previous levels.
Traders said reduced offtake by flour mills against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly kept wheat prices lower.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) shed another Rs 10 to Rs 1,760-1,770 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 1,770-1,800 per 90 kg.
