IPL: Kings XI ropes in DTDC, Gujarat Lions signs up Uber
NEW DELHI: Parcel service provider DTDC Express today announced its partnership with Kings XI Punjab for the tenth edition of IPL while cab-aggregator Uber has tied up with Gujarat Lions Team as its mobility partner.
As the official logistics partner, DTDC will deliver back-end logistics support for the team and will occupy the lead trouser position on Kings XI Punjab's playing jersey, the company said in a statement.
Commenting on the tie-up, DTDC Express Executive Director Abhishek Chakraborty said: The format of the game and the entertainment part connect instantly with masses which we wish to connect on a continuous basis."
Meanwhile, Uber said it has launched an IPL special product, uberLIONS, to give riders an "affordable option" to get to Rajkot and get a ride back to Ahmedabad.
"We are thrilled about stepping in as mobility partners for Gujarat Lions, and giving cricket lovers in Ahmedabad a hassle-free way to commute to see their favourite team play," said Uber President South Asia and India Amit Jain said.
